CONDITION
Disc
Visual: EXC+ to MINT-
A stunning looking disc which retains its original glossy sheen. There are no marks visible at all when viewed in strong daylight and the record appears mint on first inspection. Only under intense halogen lighting are whispy sleeve removal marks and the odd ultra faint hairline revealed. The heavy duty vinyl lies 100% flat on the turntable.
Labels: EXCELLENT+
A strong set of unworn labels. There are a few spindle trails around the centre hole on each label but it is clear that the record has received very few plays. The KT tax code is visible on side one.
Audio: MINT-
Fabulous analogue audio throughout with crystal clear unworn music signals. Very difficult to fault; I did notice a very faint tick in the gap at the end of Getting Better but I struggled to find fault with the audio. She’s Leaving Home is as perfect as vinyl gets and the intro to A Day in the Life is still and quiet. The record does not jump or stick and there are no loud pops or ticks. A great listening experience of this classic album.
Cover
EXCELLENT+
An impressive example of this 1st issue patents pending Garrod & Lofthouse cover dating to the original release date of June 1967. The front panel is completely unworn retaining a super high gloss sheen and is in near MINT condition. The interior gatefold crackles as new when opened and also grades at near MINT. The rear panel has a light laminate crease to the bottom left corner and evidence of use to the opening edge. On close inspection I noticed a tiny area of light damage to the bottom right corner. The rear panel grades at excellent. The spine shows some signs of natural ageing but Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band is clearly legible.
Cardboard cut-out MINT
Appears never to have been handled.
Inner-sleeve EXCELLENT-
Original psychedelic inner with just a small 1cm seam split along the bottom edge.
