Description
In this auction:
· “SGT. PEPPER’S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND” by the Beatles
· This LP is Capitol Records SMAS - 2653.
· This is a STEREO PRESSING.
· THIS PRESSING HAS THE CORRECTED TITLE of the second track on Side 1. Original stereo pressing have the title listed on the label as “A Little Help From My Fiends”. But this has the CORRECTED TITLE, “With A Little Help From My Fiends”.
· This is a 1968 pressing with “a subsidiary of Capitol” in the rim printing.
· The vinyl comes in its properly marked STEREO COVER.
· The vinyl has an “O” in the trail-off vinyl which indicates that this record came from Capitol’s Jacksonville pressing plant. (“Sgt. Pepper” covers were not marked indicating the pressing plant of origin.)
· The COVER is in VG+ CONDITION with very light overall wear. There are small pushes on the top and bottom of the spine and on the bottom right corner causing a few light creases at the bottom left corner of the rear cover. There is also some moderate wear on the corner at the base of the spine. The front cover image is NICE with light wear. The red rear cover is VERY NICE and does not show much wear at all. The red rear covers of Sgt. Pepper LPs were often prone to show wear more easily than the front cover. (Please check out the images to see.)
· The VINYL is in VG CONDITION with light surface hairlines/scuffs (none “feel-able”).
· This LP comes with its custom red, pink and white inner sleeve which is the proper sleeve for this issue. It has a 3-inch split on one side edge and a 5-inch split on the bottom edge.
· It also comes with the poster-board sheet of Sgt. Pepper cut-outs. It has a few small and very light creases and a couple of very small indentions above the moustache.
