THE BEATLES: 'SGT PEPPER’S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND’ – THIS IS THE SCARCE 1982 UK EMI/PARLOPHONE **MONO** VINYL LP ON THE BLACK AND YELLOW PARLOPHONE LABEL – PMC 7027 - THIS IS THE RARE VARIANT WITH THE **STEREO MIS-PRESSED SIDE 2!**
Briefly Issued in 1982 by EMI/Parlophone UK, this is the VERY SCARCE **Mono** Vinyl LP that was issued on the traditional BLACK AND YELLOW PARLOPHONE Label. However, this example is one of the few issued that contained the **STEREO** Mix on Side 2, rather than the Mono mix!
The album comes in its official EMI Printed Inner Bag, and is housed in a traditional Sgt Pepper Gatefold Picture sleeve, which includes a Card Cut-Out.
Both sides of the record Labels displays the printed wording ‘Mfd in the UK by EMI Records’, and the wording ‘MONO’.
The matrix number machine stamped on each side of the record labels are as follows: Side 1: XEX 637-1 and Side 2: YEX 638-6-1-1. The side 1 stampers are: ‘2’, ‘1,3’. There are no stamper references to side 2.
Both sides of the Black and Yellow Parlophone record labels are in close to mint condition, showing just some light handling marks. Both sides of the Vinyl Disc are in STUNNING mint condition –The Gatefold sleeve is in CRISP close to mint condition, a BEAUTIFUL sleeve, showing only very minor rubbing to the top edges – this is very minimal. The wording on the spine clearly reads ‘Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’ and the catalogue number of ‘PMC 7027’. The wording Mono is printed on the reverse of the sleeve.
An **AWESOME** example of this extremely **HARD TO FIND** title from this SCARCE and official UK 1982 MONO EMI/Parlophone Series – This Rare Variant with the Mis-pressed Stereo Side 2 is only one of a few that were issued!
