CONDITION

Disc

Labels: EXCELLENT +

A fine bright & undamaged pair with just a small collection of light spindle marks to each centre hole.

Visual: EXCELLENT

Extremely clean & bright playing surfaces which apart from two or three light, non-feelable surface marks (not scratches) are unmarked in strong daylight. Close examination directly beneath my unforgiving halogen desk lamp reveals little more than a single sparkling rainbow shine and some insignificant & harmless wispy paper hairlines but no further blemishes or wear. Both sides appear 100% flat when playing on the turntable and are free from any dishing or warping.

Play: EXCELLENT

This well looked after and very carefully played copy plays without any significant deterioration to the sound quality throughout and is without any major faults. My careful play check found no evidence of any groove/play wear (even on 'She's Leaving Home') just a hint of light background in some of the quieter passages between tracks. I heard 2 light clicks on the last chord of 'Lovely Rita' but that was the only distraction of its kind during the entire LP.This is a truely fine example of this monumental mono mix and will not disappoint.

Cover

EXCELLENT

This rare example is in superb overall shape. The front panel is perfectly clean with an undamaged front laminate which bears some light storagewear rubbing but no 'thumbnails' or any other creases. All corners are free from any heavy bumps or bruising & all opening edges are clean & sharp. The inside of the gatefold is vivid & vibrant with just a few slivers of missing paper to the uncovered edges of the flipbacks. The 'Fourth Proof' wording and code are bold, unworn & undamaged. The rear panel is as vivid & vibrant as the front with again just a single faint 'thumbnail' and an unavoidable faint disc impression from storage. All seams are unstressed & unsplit and the spine is clean & fully worded with just a little 1.5cm of wear to the bottom corner. Hard to find in any condition.

Inner-sleeve

EXCELLENT

A bright & crisp example with a little light handling & storage wear but but no writing, splits or tears.

Cut-out Sheet

MINT

Never removed from cover - the previous owner didn't even realise it was there!
