THE BEATLES - 'SGT PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND'
1967 UK 1st *MONO* PRESSING LP
**FACTORY SAMPLE DISC IN WIDE-SPINE COVER**
This outstanding 1967 UK 1st mono pressing is on the UK black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 7027
A genuine 'Factory Sample - NOT FOR SALE' sticker is adhered to the side 1 label.
Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Gramophone Co Ltd...' rims
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible on the side 1 label.
Housed in a fully laminated 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono gatefold cover with internal flipbacks & a 9mm wide-spine.
Complete with original red & white designer inner-sleeve and cut-out sheet.
Matrix numbers: XEX 637-1 & XEX 638-1
Stamper numbers: 4/TO & 7/GPA

The side 1 label is pressed very slightly off-centre but there are no spindle marks to either label.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Both sides appear MINT & totally unmarked viewed in strong daylight, with no groove-whitening or dulling to either surface from improper storage.
Close & careful inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals just a few wispy inner-sleeve removal paper hairlines, but no other marks or wear.
100% flat both sides on the turntable with no dishing or warping.
Audio: EXCELLENT PLUS
This copy has been barely played and is a joy to listen to.
Apart from a touch of very light background on 'She's Leaving Home' there is no significant or major audible wear on this superb copy.
Both run-ins and even the final piano chord fade plays without clicks, pops or othersuch interference.
Cover: NEAR MINT
The high-gloss laminate is completely unworn and undamaged all-round with no scratches, spine or 'thumbnail' creases, disc impression or storagewear.
Both front & rear panels are vibrant and unfaded with no traces of any ageing to any part.
Aside from a minor bruise to the upper left corner, all are in perfect unworn and undamaged shape and all opening edges are sharp & undamaged.
The inside is also 'as new' but as it has not or ever been opened, I have not attempted to fully fold it out.
All seams are strong, intact & unsplit and the 9mm wide-spine is clean, white & 100% square with no fading, squashing or missing lamiante.
Museum quality & impossible to upgrade.
