Description

An original 1967 1st press on Parlophone - the initial proofing copy...the 4th proof...This copy hit the market before the full retail release on 1st June 1967!.  Matrix 1/1. Heavy slab of vinyl and comes housed in an original mono cover with exposed flips and the code for 4th proof. Mention of 4th proof is found inverted above George's head.    Flame inner PRESENT and cutouts.
Vinyl (Ex-) In lovely condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a few light marks per side, a couple of slight trails... - nothing heavy/nasty. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly..Near Excellent level mostly with deviation in a couple of spots per side....  A nice clean player  --  Intros and inbetweens are quiet and the audio comes across with really good clarity. PRETTY clean feed even into the fussy numbers. A bit of light background presence briefly in a couple of passages. 3 or 4 ticks and and a couple of clicks late in She's Leaving Home. A couple of ticks on the run into Mr Kite...AND 1 pop/wobble immediately after the 5th 'Good Morning'....Don't think you actually lose any audio..[just a brief wobble/pop]... But by and large very solid and appealing. As we all know a mono 1st press in decent condition is capable of greatness on the audio front. 
Cover (Vg+) Nicely preserved cover. Clean and flat front without too much creasing or surface wear. Slightest ding to one corner and a bit of edge wear.... Spine is 70% intact with a bit of wear.  Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. Interior is good too. Please expect the cover to look a bit better than it's showing in the pics...it needs a bit of a clean up..that will improve it.
Inner (Vg+) nice., but a few age spots!
