Beatles Sgt. Pepper's LP U.S. 1st press Capitol SEALED

The item you are looking at, is a ...

...1967, first U.S. Capitol records Stereo pressing of the Beatles LP "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band". Lp is # SMAS 2653 and is MINT and STILL SEALED!  This lp is a first pressing colorband label. Evidence to this fact can be found on the back cover. In the lower right corner there is NO McLean music under the capitol logo as in later capitol pressings and Apple pressings.  Below the Capitol logo on the back there is a very tiny (NEMS Enterprises Limited 1967).   There is an ever so slight hint of the PINK and RED inner sleeve visible along the edge of the "opening" of the cover.

There are NO obvious defects or damage to this piece. There is some very slight ring wear on the back cover, but only on the top half.  There is one breath hole in the shrink wrap on the back.  This is by far one of the nicest Pepper's lps ever to be offered on Ebay. I didn't want to sell this but I am in desperate need of cash to keep bills paid. The last sealed copy to sell on ebay went for over $1500.00!!!! My reserve is much less than that but it is a steal at any price. Whoever wins this auction will have a true BEATLES Treasure!

According to a 1990 book by PERRY COX " The Beatles Price Guide for American Records- 3rd edition" this is a first pressing.

The first time I listed this it ended at $353.21 (reserve not met). My reserve is not much higher than that now so bid to win.!!!

Check out my feedbacks (375= 100 % positive!) and bid with confidence.
