Description
The Beatles – Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band MONO Canada Orig 1867 Gate Fold Label: Capitol Records – MAS-2653 Format: Vinyl, LP, Album, Mono, Gatefold Country: Canada Released: 1967 Genre: Rock Style: Psychedelic Rock, Pop Rock
Matrix / Runout (Runout side A, variant 1, etched): T1-2653-P3 Matrix / Runout (Runout side B, variant 3, etched): T2-2653-T2
Rare original Canadian Mono pressing with the above matrix. The cover is a gate fold. Thick heavy pasted slick cover and thick heavy vinyl 1960s style. No insert.
Condition: the vinyl is VG+ on side 1 with low to medium amount of light scuffing and a few light surface marks. Side 2, because of a bit more light scuffing we grade VG. Play interference is minimal: there isn' t a lot and such that there is soft and very brief. There are there are some very brief examples of very soft surface noise that only last for 2 or 3 seconds. This happens about 5 times overall. The volume level is about 1 out of 10 where 10 out of 10 would have been as loud as the music. Nothing significant. Overall there are also about about 12 soft clicks at the same low volume level. That said there are 2 or 3 more soft click that are a little bit, not much - louder than 1 and one example of soft surface noise that lasts a bit longer that 2 or 3 seconds - about 10 seconds (during Within You Without You). And lastly there is some soft surface noise in A Day in the Life that comes and goes.
The cover is strong VG+ with small wear marks in the corners. Bit of light ring wear at the top on the back and a previous owner's name stenciled in gray ink at the top right on the front. Nothing particularly significant. No seam splitting and no cut out hole.
Doesn't come with the insert
