Up for auction is a highly sought-after, legitimate 1967 "True First State" Mono pressing of The Beatles' masterpiece, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Because this is an authentic first-run cover, it completely omits the NEMS and Maclen Music publishing credits on the back sleeve. This makes it a stellar piece of vintage music history for holiday gifting or serious vinyl collections.

Condition Breakdown:

  • Vinyl Disc: VG+ (Very Good Plus). The record retains a beautiful, bright glossy sheen. It has only a few light, superficial paper scuffs/hairlines that do not impact play. It looks and sounds wonderful, carrying that punchy, dedicated mono mix that collectors love.

  • Gatefold Jacket: G/VG (Worn/Rough). The heavy cardstock sleeve shows honest wear from age, shelf life, and handling. Expect some edge/corner scuffs, ring wear, and seam aging as shown in the photos.

  • Inner Sleeve: Present. Includes the iconic original psychedelic patterned inner sleeve.

  • Card Stock Cutouts: Missing. Please note that the original cardboard cutout insert is not included.

Why This Copy is Special:

This is a pure, unswapped June 1967 original issue. The "MAS 2653" matrix codes, the missing rear cover legal text, and the rare Winchester plant dead-wax markings verify its absolute first-press authenticity.

Please see the high-resolution photos for a detailed look at the labels, cover wear, and matrix stamps. We ship securely in dedicated cardboard record mailers to ensure safe arrival. Happy bidding!
