Description
Hi
My name is Rob and as my 100% feedback shows I am an avid collector as opposed to a seller.
My two passions are, anything related to the Beatles both records and memorabilia and Gum cards, mainly from the 60's.
However over the years in my quest to build a top end collection I have accumulated many duplicates in both RECORDS & CARDS.
I have now decided to list back on Ebay some of these items, so please add me to your favourites list to keep an eye out for what is coming.
Now as stated I am a collector and not a seller and am proud of my 100% feedback record and wish to maintain it. So as not to disappoint I will describe these items to the best of my ability and will offer a full refund to anyone who is not satisfied with what I have stated. PROVIDING!! That all transactions are completed with satisfaction before negative feedback is left.
I am a friendly and approachable person so please email me with any queries you may have, especially before negative feedback is left.
NOW TO THE LISTING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THE BEATLES “SGT PEPPERS” BLACK & YELLOW PARLOPHONE MONO LP-PMC 7027- **THIS IS THE VERY FIRST PRESSING WITH THE NO DAY IN THE LIFE CREDIT**!!!!!! HOW RARE IS THAT?????????????????????
This as all Beatle collectors will know is one of their hardest records to locate as only a small amount of these made it past quality control at EMI before the mistake was noticed and quickly rectified, the same day in fact.
Obviously EMI immediately recalled every copy that they could but this and a few others got through, which is how I am pleased to be able to offer you the chance of obtaining this EXTREMELY RARE RECORD!!!!!!
This is A VERY 1st PRESSING as is proved by the labels having “ THE GRAMOPHONE CO around the outer edge and the “SOLD IN THE UK” text
The Matrix numbers in the run out grooves are Side 1: XEX – 637-1 and Side 2: XEX-638-1. With the Stamper numbers being Side 1: The number 4 at 3 o’clock and the letters RTG at 9 o’clock. Side 2: The number 9 at 3 o’clock and the letters MMT at 9 o’clock.
Side 1: The Label is in superb Excellent ++ condition with absolutely no fading to be seen anywhere. The Yellow writing is so vivid against the deep Black background, and the silver wording is unfaded. There are if held in the correct light a couple small/light spider marks, if not for these I would definitely class this as MINT-.
The vinyl is beautiful to behold and looks Excellent ++ with no scratches or groove wear, only under a very strong light can you see some light hairlines, probably caused by being taken in and out of the bag The sound is as good as the look with absolutely no CLICKS, POPS or JUMPS. Not even background noise during the quieter bits.
Side 2: The Label is in exactly the same condition but of course is famously missing the credits for the track A DAY IN THE LIFE in the listing. The vinyl is again in beautiful condition and has no CLICKS, POPS or JUMPS and just a tiny bit of crackle can be heard at the end of Lovely Rita, I am being hypercritical here and it definitely will NOT stop you from enjoying this critically acclaimed album.
SLEEVE: Is an original laminated Garrod and Lofthouse gatefold and is in very nice condition and must grade as EXCELLENT the front still retains it’s full gloss and beautiful colour, it has no laminate cracking and just a few small edge creases mainly on the spine. There are no “half moons” which in itself is unusual. The corners are nice but have a little bending, though nothing too noticeable. It has a very nice seam and spine with no wear. The back is also in great shape with again just a few small edge creases and a very slight half moon near the opening at the bottom, there is a tiny bit of wear This is very small and NOT a split. The inside of the sleeve is stunning with the colours still vivid and bright with no wear, and it still has that lovely sound of when you open a gatefold for the first time when new. The picture card is in MINT condition and the white paper sleeve [This copy never had the fool bag] has a small split at the bottom, this can be easily replaced if required. I must admit I do not know if this is the original white inner to the album.
HOW RARE IS THIS RECORD?????? Ask yourself three questions. Just how many of these copies got through to the public? How many survived the swinging sixties? But MOST importantly, how many are in existence in this FANTASTIC and SUPERB CONDITION? Not many I would say.
SO GRAB YOUR CHANCE TO OWN AN INCREDIBLY RARE BEATLES RECORD!!!!!!!!!!
I have been as honest as I can in grading this record. I have in no way over graded it.
If for any genuine reason you are not happy with the condition I have described, then simply return the item in the same condition it was sent and I will send a FULL REFUND. That is how confident I am and you would be very hard pushed to find a better copy.
I paid a considerable amount of money for this record but will set no reserve and leave it in the lap of the gods. Though I PROMISE you will very, very RARELY see this record for sale again, and NEVER in this condition. So if you are a Mega Beatles Fan or just a Lover of 60's Music in general then this is a MUST HAVE for your collection.
I will also accept first time buyers as everyone has to start somewhere.
HAPPY BIDDING & GOOD LUCK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
