Description
Original UK stereo silver & black Parlophone label with the single EMI box & 'The Gramophone Co Ltd...' label rim text, and the YEX-637-1, YEX-638-2 matrix numbers, the fourth pressing of the LP which was only issued between November 1969 until December 1970!The Garrod & Lofthouse flipback sleeve is intact & in EX+ condition, with some very light corner wear and a couple of very small laminate creases on the outer cover. The spine is intact & fully readable, the EMI advertising inner is in VG+ condition and the Sgt. Pepper cut out sheet is intact & in EX+ condition. The record is in visually EX+ condition, with only a couple of very faint sleeve removal hairlines visible under bright light on each side. The labels are in EX+ condition, clean & bright with evidence of only one or two spindle markings on side 2! The sound reproduction is EX+, still clear & precise throughout with no loud pops or crackle & definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some very brief backgound noise during the run in grooves before the music starts, overall a really great loud and punchy listen!! The matrix nos. are; YEX-637-1, stamper 26-ART, YEX-638-2, stamper 12-GM. This is one of the very early pressings of the later 1969 UK stereo 4th issue of this classic 1967 album!
