Condition

Labels: NEAR MINT

A wonderful clean & bright set with just a few tiny spindle trails to the side 2 label.

Visual: Side 1: NEAR MINT  Side 2: EXCELLENT

Both surfaces are immaculate and 'as new' in strong daylight with no clouding or any surface marks or wear whatsoever. Careful inspection directly beneath halogen light reveals some wispy paper hairlines and its only major fault - a single 2cm circumferal scratch on the final track on side 2. However, this is the only visual blemish on the entire LP and no other faults of wear are present. Both sides lie 100% flat on the turntable with no dishing or warping.

Play: Side 1: NEAR MINT  Side 2: EXCELLENT

This copy has received just a few plays and is overall without any significant deterioration to the sound. If it were not for a single groove jump at the end of the final verse of 'A Day In The Life', I would have graded NEAR MINT both sides. Despite this minor fault it is still an extremely respectable listening copy.

Cover

EXCELLENT

A fine example of this rare cover variant with a bright & clean front panel which bears just a few light handling wrinkles but no heavy creasing or wear. The corners are all clean & unbumped, with just a tiny rub to the lower right. All opening edges are sharp & straight with just a few tiny 'pushes' but no tears or feathering. Inside is immaculate and the 'Fourth Proof' wording on the right upper-flipback is clear and undamaged. The rear panel has a faint disc impression from storage but no 'thumbnails' or any significant wear. The spine has a touch of wear but is unsplit and all the wording is intact and readable. Both upper & lower seams are smooth, unstressed & unsplit.

Cut-out Sheet

MINT

Inner-sleeve

EXCELLENT

Slight storage creasing and the inevitable light disc impression but no splits, tears or any other faults.

Strict & grading under strong daylight & directly beneath a halogen desk lamp to UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' standards.

I carefully play every record I sell on a $5,000 Rega P9 turntable at volume and list all visual and audible faults.

Unless stated, all records lie 100% flat & play without distortion, jumps or sticks. All sleeves/covers have no writing, splits or tears.

All the photos in this listing have been taken by myself and are of the actual items for sale.

All records are professionally & securely in custom-made record mailing boxes with the disc removed from the cover.
