Labels: EXCELLENT +
The side 1 label is completely unworn and even has a sliver of the silver centre hole marker visible around the edge of the hole. Some faint, well-aimed spindle marks are present around the side 2 centre hole but this is otherwise unblemished.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
Extremely clean & bright playing surfaces which are completely free from any surface marks or wear when viewed in strong daylight. Closer examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals little more than some harmless wispy hairlines consistent with inner-sleeve removal and a sparkling rainbow shine. Both sides of this well looked after copy lie 100% flat ont he turntable when playing
Play: NEAR MINT
This superb sounding copy has received only minimal careful play on good equipment and my single careful play-check found there to be no evidence of any groove/play wear or background interference throughout - even on the easily worn 'She's Leaving Home' which played beautifully. The only audible disctration I detected was a touch of light background during the final piano chord fade on 'A Day In the Life'. Apart form that, there really is little to fault on this great sounding copy.
Cover: EXCELLENT +
A superb and early example which retains a perfectly clean & unscratched high-gloss front panel laminate with just a thin line of discolouration along the spine area but no 'thumbnails', spine bends or any other signs of wear. All corners are clean & unworn with just a tiny shelfwear bruise to the lower right but no heavy bumps or wear to any. All opening edges are clean & sharp with just a hint of wear to the rear one but certainly no tears or feathering of heavy 'pushes' to any. The inside of the gatefold is immaculate, unworn & as new. The rear panel just as clean & glossy as the front with the only sign of wear being a small bend to the upper left corner but again, no 'thumbnails' anywhere. As you can see, the spine is fully laminated & worded and all seams of both pockets are smooth, unstressed & unsplit.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Clean, flat & uncreased with just the inevitable light disc impression but no writing, tears or seam splits.
Cut-out sheet: MINT
