1984 UK *NIMBUS SUPERCUT* PRESSING LP

We have just been commissioned to sell a large and important private collection of UK Beatles records. The majority of listings presented this week are from that collection, with more will follow over the coming weeks. The collection contains some of the rarest UK pressed discs which are unlikely to come onto the open market again in the forseeable future.

This is arguably the best sounding pressing of this iconic album ever. This 'Supercut' was pressed by the classical muisic/audiophile specialist label 'Nimbus' and was available only via mail-order through 'Hi-Fi Today' magazine for a very limited period in 1984. The sound quality on this stereo pressing is far superior and unmatched by any pressing or format before or since and will not disappoint.

This rare pressing uses a standard '2-box' EMI/Parlophone label of the time with the standard stereo catalogue number: PCS 7027

Hand-etched matrix numbers: XEX 637 A & XEX 638 B

'NIMBUS ENGLAND' is machine stamped in each run-out.

Disc weight: 134g

Housed in an unlaminated 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed stereo cover with the 'Nimbus' sticker adhered to the front panel in the upper right corner.

Complete with unused cut-out sheet & poly-lined inner-sleeve.

Clean & unworn with just a handful of well-aimed spindle trails around the side 2 centre hole only.

Visual: NEAR MINT

This disc has been treated with care by an audiophile listener and its condition reflects that. Both playing surfaces are MINT and 'as new' in strong daylight with just the faintest trace of inner-sleeve removal beneath my unforgiving powerful halogen desk lamp. Both sides lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.

Truly amazing sound quality from this high-end pressing which is the best I have ever heard this album sound. This copy has been carefully played on high-end equipment just a handful of times and is without any audible faults or wear that I can detect. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed by the sound quality on this pressing.

EXCELLENT -

This clean & strong example displays some general light storagewear, the only significant signs of which being a few small scratches on the rear panel and a 4cm split to the lower seam of the front pocket. The all-important 'Nimbus' sticker is clean & undamaged.
