Description
The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
(Parlophone PMC 7027 UK LP 1967)
This is a UK original Mono LP pressing. It has a fully laminated gatefold sleeve which has inner flipbacks. It comes with a period polythene lined company inner sleeve. It comes with its original Cut-Out Insert. This is printed on card.
The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has yellow & black "Parlophone" labels. These have "The Gramophone Co..." and "Sold in UK..." texts. It has 1st press XEX 637-1 and XEX 638-1 matrix numbers. The mother stampers are MRH 3 7 and MMP 3 respectively. A genuine UK Mono 1st pressing.
Gatefold Sleeve: There is a 1 cm area of moderate rubbing wear at the very top of the spine. There is some light or very mild rubbing wear to the other 3 corner tips. There is some light ringwear on the rear sleeve. VG+ condition. The card "cut-out" insert is in Near Excellent condition. It shows only light or very minor wear only.
Vinyl: There is a noticeable 3 cm scuff at the start of Side 1. It is light & does not seem to affect play at all. Otherwise, there are some light or mild sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light. There are 4 light hairline marks too. Two of these are very small & measure around 1 cm. The other two measure 3.5 and 4 cm in length. VG condition. The labels are in Near Excellent condition & show light or very mild spindle wear only. The company inner sleeve is in VG condition. There is some mild to more moderae ringwear & creasing.
I have fully play tested this LP. It plays VG+ overall & Near Excellent in some places. There is some light, very light or very mild crackle in some quieter places.
