The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
(Parlophone PMC 7027 UK LP 1967)
This is a UK original Mono LP pressing. It has a fully laminated gatefold sleeve which has inner flipbacks. It comes with its original "The Fool" desinged custom Psychedlic Inner Sleeve. This is printed on paper & has the "Patents Applied For" text. It also comes complete with its original "Cut-out" card Insert.
The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has yellow & black "Parlophone" labels. These have "The Gramophone Co..." and "Sold in UK..." texts. The 1st press matrix numbers are XEX 637-1 and XEX 638-1. The mother stampers are GTG 4 and TGM 3 respectively. This is a genuine UK 1st Mono pressing with the earliest matrix numbers. Totally complete with the Psychedelic Inner Sleeve & Card Insert. These are getting rarer all the time. This is a very reasonable copy overall. Playback is Excellent overall!
Gatefold Sleeve: There is some more moderate rubbing wear to the top corner tip at the spine. The bottom two corner tips show some mild rubbing wear too. There is some light or very mild rubbing wear at the sleeve opening. There are some light or very mild indentation line-marks on the rear sleeve in one area. There is a light crease in one corner area. VG+ condition. The spine is clearly legible & in very nice condition overall.
Vinyl: There are some light, mild or very mild sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light. There are three very small 1 cm hairline marks, & one small 2 cm hairline mark too. VG++ condition. There is a small initial on Side 2's label in red biro. It doesn't notice too much. Otherwise, the labels are clean & show very mild spindle wear.
The Psychedelic Inner Sleeve is in VG+ condition. There is a mild to more moderate crease that runs along the bottom. There is some light or mild foxing in some areas. some light to mild ringwear too. There are no seam splits. I shall place the vinyl into a separate plain paper inner sleeve to protect the original inner sleeve from any damage during transit. The Card Insert is in Excellent condition & shows minimal wear only.
I have fully play tested this LP. It plays Near Excellent to Excellent overall & Excellent+ in some places. There is some light or very light crackle in a few quieter places. There are 3 light clicks on "Lovely Rita" on Side 2.
