ALL ALTERNATE TRACKS, VERY RARE TO FIND ON VINYL, MINT!
Although Unofficial, this RARE and VERY INTERESTING 16 Track VINYL LP contains TWO tracks more than the 1966 Original ‘REVOLVER’ release - ‘Paperback Writer’ and ‘Rain’.
ALL 16 Tracks are ALTERNATE versions to that of the Original. For example ‘Taxman’ is Take 11 recorded 21 April 1966, ‘I’m Only Sleeping’ is a rehearsal Take from 29 April 1966, ‘Rain’ is an Unknown Take, ‘Paperback Writer’ is Take 2 with no echo on the vocals. Another interesting track is ‘Tomorrow Never Knows’ which is the basic track with different sound effects – see scans below for complete track listing and details.
The tracks are pressed on QUALITY HEAVYWEIGHT VINYL and the SOUND QUALITY is SUPERB!
The disc comes in a Card Revolver Picture Sleeve, utilising the same Artwork as the Original release. The top black banner on the front of the sleeve reads ‘The Alternate Revolver’.
The Vinyl disc is in mint condition, and the picture sleeve is near mint, comes in its original Shrink Wrap, but not sealed, with only one mild corner bump.
Most alternate recordings are pressed on CD, and it is, therefore, VERY UNUSUAL (and RARE) to find this on VINYL. Extremely fascinating to listen to all these ALTERNATE tracks from one of most ICONIC Albums of the 20th Century! NOT TO BE MISSED!
