"My Bonnie / The Saints" (Polydor NH 24 673) orange Polydor star label.
The label side “A” has the text (Mein Herz ist bei dir nur) and "Rock" under the title "My Bonnie".
It is the Single “My Bonnie”. It is suppose to have the German introduction, but it doesn’t. It has the English introduction. THEY PUT THE WRONG LABEL ON THE “A” SIDE, it should have had the word Twist instead of (Mein Herz ist bei dir nur) and "Rock" under the title.
This is the very rare and hard to find original 1962 German issue!
Exactly Release date: January 1962.
It was the VERY FIRST COMMERCIAL RELEASE EVER to feature the Beatles ...

The Beatles - Actually it's Tony Sheridan & The Beat Brothers Polydor 24673 "My Bonnie" b/w "The Saints".
This is the original 1962 issue on the orange German Polydor label with Polydor sleeve.
Why is this 45 important? It's important because it is the very first commercial record released featuring The Beatles. This is it! This is the record that started it all. Incredibly undervalued and sure to sky rocket.The history is as follows: Tony Sheridan was billed as the leader of the group because it would be Tony who stayed on to record albums for Polydor if the first single sold. "My Bonnie"/"The Saints" (Polydor NH 24-673) was billed as "Tony Sheridan and the Beat Brothers." As Tony recalls it, Beat Brothers was used instead of Beatles because "Beatles" sounded a lot like the German slang word for penis, which was "peedles." (Remember John saying "Beatles peedles" on a Christmas record?). There where two versions of that first single, one (called the "rock" version) had the intro in German and the other (the "twist" version) had the slow intro in English. These were distinguished from one another both on the label and on the picture itself in the German Top Twenty, finally selling up to 180,000 copies in Germany. The single was held back until October, 1961 ("Rock"), and mid-January, 1962 ("Twist"). The copy up for sale here is the "Twist" version with the slow English intro. Condition of the 45:
Record: The labels on the 45 are nice with moderate wear on the A side. The vinyl has lots of light marks and some scratches but nothing too serious. A few audible hiss is heard when played. Absolutely no skips. This is a welcomed addition to any Beatle collection, if not the most important 45 in any Beatle collection!
Sleeve: The sleeve is the German Polydor sleeve, it is in good condition with a very small 1 inch tear on the bottom and sharp corners. The text on sleeve (see photo) at the bottom is in German. The sleeve at top (see photo ) has an X on the top of the sleeve above the polydor name.
