Up for auction is a Nice VG++ Mono Magical Mystery Tour Lp. I purchased this about 12 years ago at an upstanding record store in San Jose California called Streetlight Records, they only sold quality stuff and the record buyer there was a perfectionist, what was exciting about this mostly was still being in the shrink, unfortunately the shrink was split alot of the way across the top actually being held together by about an inch of shrinkwrap, so some yellowing had occured across the top where the shrink had split. The rest of the cover appears well preserved. Hopefully the photos give you a good idea.
The record is also VG++ due to a couple very light scratches on the record, one starts at the end of Fool and makes 4 small hard to notice 1/4 inch jumps and the last one becomes more pronounce at the end of Flying, I can't feel a click there at all, maybe this was a finger nail or something during production. The other is through the last two songs on side 2 a straight barely noticible line that could have been the same a finger nail or during production, also can't feel any clicking there.
A little bit about me, I started collecting records in 1994 back in the Goldmine Magazine era some years before Ebay. I've never purchased records with the thought of reselling them, I bought them because I loved records and wanted to gradually build my own personal collection. Many times I'd upgraded and then upgraded again just to get that perfect cover and record. Along the way I've been hit by surprises and ripped off hundreds of times by know it alls and MINT monsters who almost always over grade everything. So as a buyer I know exactly how it feels to be ripped off.
I occasionally sell records on Ebay. As a seller I am probably one of the lousiest money makers out there. I believe I should be right up front in detailing my items and grade them accordingly, and there should be no surprises to the buyer when they receive their item. In other words exceed the buyers expectations.
