READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning. I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

Beatles LP 1969 Beatles VI Unreasonably Rare Subsidiary of Label, 1 Title Above Playhole!
Most collectors who are completists like me know the 1969 “Subsidiary of…” issue of Beatles VI as having the smaller text, and all the song titles below the playhole on both sides. This label variation was used by both the Scranton and Los Angeles pressing plants.
But not very many collectors have seen this copy that has one title above the playhole on each side. The text is larger than the common variation, and there is no “Side 1” or “Side 2” designation. There are just numerals on this rarer version.

These copies are extremely hard to find. This one’s not in NM condition, but the cover is in the shrink. It’s an important missing piece to your collection, since you’re not very likely to see another one.

Vinyl--- Strong VG, almost VG+. This copy navigates the space between those two grades equally. Light scratches and scuffs only, none that are feelable.
Plates--- A13/B12. Machine-stamped asterisk in the dead wax makes this copy pressed in Los Angeles.
Cover--- EX. Very light yellowing down the mouth where the shrink was opened. Otherwise, this cover looks just like it did in the record bin in 1969!
Breathe Holes--- There is one breathe hole on the front cover on Paul’s cheek.
There are two breathe holes on the back cover. One is in the Roman numeral 1 in the VI. The other, which I didn’t see when taking the photos, is due south between the first two miniature albums pictured at the bottom.
Labels--- NM/NM. Labels look as fresh as they did the day they were printed. These labels use the blue bottom perimeter text.
Capitol Inner Sleeve--- VG+. Los Angeles inner sleeve with no die-cut holes for the labels to show is present. Sleeve has yellowed, and one side has ringwear and dirtwear. NO SPLIT SEAMS.
A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeve en route.
RIAA: None.
If you pass on this copy, you may well have passed on this variation for your collection.
As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)
