Description
Here's an original Vee Jay 1964 Christmas picture sleeve that includes an original Vee Jay VJ587 "Do You Want to Know a Secret" 45. Vee Jay used this generic sleeve to hold all its Beatles records around Chrismas-time as a nice incentive for record sales.
Condition is a nice M- (Mint Minus) with only the impression from the record appearing as bends on the sleeve. Sleeve has no toning, no splits, no writing and the top is excellent. There is one tiny 2mm tear at top of center cutout circle on one side, almost invisible.
45 is in rough condition with scratches, but you're not likely to be playing it anyway, it's just here to complete the package.
My old 1999 Osborne catalog lists this at $90 in M- condition, my 2001 Goldmine at $80, so I think $100 is a reasonable estimate of its current value. I'm throwing the 45 in for free.
This is part of a huge 45 collection I am selling for a widow, her husband was a dilligent record collector for nearly 50 years. Most of the material from this collection was cleaned with a Nitty Gritty Record Cleaning machine and will be carefully graded and sorted for sale by groups and categories, there is alot of M- stuff in this group so please keep checking back in the weeks to come to see it. All records were graded under a 100 watt bulb using Osborne standards.
Shipping is $4 for priority mail fixed rate box. If you live in another country, I will need to find out the shipping charge, it will probably be sent Registered Mail for around $13 but I have to check this out.
