Description

Beatles White Album Rare Unreleased A1 stamper LP

Apple SWB-101 This is an extraordinary rare pressing of the Beatles White Album. Both sides of Disc Two are A-1 stampers. Beatles collectors will know that George Harrison complained about the compression on the first set of stampers for the White Album (a-1 through a-33) and those stampers were pulled from production before commercial release and any records made from those stampers were supposed to be destroyed. A few A-26 and A-28 stamper pressings (Scranton) have appeared in the past but we are unaware of any A-1 stamper pressings (Los Angeles) ever being found before. The record is in excellent condition with little signs of any play. Disc One is the first commercially released stampers (a-34 and a-35). The cover has the word FREE cut into the upper right corner. Both disc contain the 7 typos on the first releases.   We are taking offers for this record as the value is indeterminable for the only known A-1 pressing of a White Album.
