Description
The Beatles 'White Album', an original 1968 UK pressing. This item is from the first product run, and the sleeve bears the embossed individual serial number 0004228. The album was released in both mono and stereo formats, and this particular copy is the rare and more sought after mono edition, which features a slightly different version of 'Back in the USSR'. Very few mono copies were manufactured and subsequently dropped in favour of the stereo version. The audio format is denoted by the catalogue number PMC7067, the letter M for 'mono'.
Overall condition in 'fair', the sleeve has signs of wear and the audio quality is fair and quite playable. The Inner black paper liners (with viewing hole in one side only) have been damaged and repaired with sticky tape! The original poster is supplied, but is in poor condition and the original postcards are missing.
It's not perfect, but it IS an original, it IS in mono format and it's individual serial number IS well below the sought after 5000 mark. A real collector's item and a piece of pop music history.
