!!!AN ALL ORIGINAL FIRST PRESS MONO!!!

This album was The Beatles FIRST release on the now famous Apple label. It was entered into the charts on the 7th of December 1968 and went straight to number one-where it stayed for 7 weeks! Making it the FIRST double album to get the top slot...EVER!

The rather unusual fact about this album is that it was the first release by The Beatles which contained only SOLO material.

By the time 1970 ended, the total sales of this wonderful album were estimated to be 6.5 Million! However...get this...The only other album that beat this a few years later was "Saturday Night fever" !!!

The Vinyl: EX. GORGEOUSLY shiny vinyl. There are just a couple of faint hairline marks BUT after playing her all the way through I didn't find any problem at all! GREAT!! NOTHING to affect play. There's only a small degree of background noise which will reduce following a clean as it's just dust.Nice and quiet between tracks and the run-in is also rather quiet..a joy to listen to, which would only improve with a professional clean....Really nice playback! All discs as flat as the day they were bought....Collectors piece.

The labels: NMint. All four of the labels are extremely bright and clean with the DARKER apple. Only a few spindle marks, visible when angled to the light.

"Mfd in the U.K." to each of the labels.

No "An EMI recording" to any of the sides...REALLY, REALLY EARLY press!!

"SOLD IN U.K...." text to each of the four labels...showing it IS a first press!

WITHOUT writing or signs of excessive play.

The Cover: Near Mint-. NUMBERED: 0061204 It is TOP loading and INCREDIBLY CLEAN, SUPERB shine to it. Garrod and Lofthouse flipback without tears, rips or writing!!

The spine NOT CRUSHED AT ALL and is still strong and clear, with only a couple of tiny areas with lifting to laminate...Has the listing of BOTH Mono and Stereo with their catalogue numbers.

The back of the sleeve does not have "Stereo" in the top right corner...ORIGINAL MONO sleeve-It has not been swapped out...JUST INCREDIBLY well looked after!

There aren't even areas of spidering!

Un-bashed corners....Seriously one of the best sleeves I have ever seen!!!

Good strong Garrod & Lofthouse flip back, with gorgeously angular corners too.

Just simply FANTASTIC

Inners: VG+. Original BLACK inners. They are both pretty well looked after and have some sign of ageing...One has a small split (4cm) to the bottom and a small one to the side (2cm), as well as a couple of small tears to the central hole on each. There's also a tad of feathering to the openeing.

BLACK INNERS.

Pictures: The four pictures are EXCELLENT. They DON'T even have any pin-holes...Which was quite typical for the Beatles fans to pin their beau's up on their bedroom wall. Corners in superb condition. The original strong paper used for the pictures....GORGEOUS!

Poster: Full size and with lyrics to the back. VG+ condition. No feathering to the corners...they're still lovely and sharp, there is evidence of the use of blu-tac to the corners....But as Blu-Tac was used, this means there aren't any holes from pins!!! There's just the smallest of tears to the fold crease at the bottom of 2cm, but nothing at all to worry about.

Has the original first release lipstick mark to the centre.

ALL IN ALL A LOVELY COLLECTORS PIECE HERE...DON'T FORGET:

IT'S TOP OPENING, MONO, COMPLETE AND IN GREATER THAN GREAT CONDITION!

THIS REALLY IS ONE OF THE BEST MONO, COMPLETE WHITE ALBUMS I HAVE SEEN!
