Description

Beatles “White Album” DOUBLE LP. Original pressing from 1969. RARE TRANSITION gatefold cover that is numbered >2.25M yet without the copyright.


Apple labels with Capitol Records logo rim print. Pressed by the Scranton plant. Vinyl has some very minor surface marks that do not affect playback. Strong VG+ to EX- condition. Deadwax etched matrices are SWBO-1-101-J58, SWBO-2-101-J45#6, SWBO 3-101-J48#4, and SWBO 4-101-J44#6.

The gatefold cover is embossed with “The Beatles” and numbered 2,848,684 with an ‘A’ prefix. The cover has some very light age spotting (especially but not solely on the spine), but is generally quite white given the age! The lower seam is 95% intact. The upper seam is 80% intact (about a 1” split near opening). Given that, I grade the cover as EX-.
