For sale is a complete and original MONO UK 1st pressing of The Beatles eponymous studio album, referred to as 'The White Album'.
This copy comes with 1st edition top opening sleeve with a very low 7 digit serial number No. 0031127 and a very rare wide spine. Both vinyl come with 1st edition dark green Apple labels with all four sides omitting “An EMI Recording” from the labels. This album is complete with two disc-cut black inners, 4 photo card images of the Beatles and the large foldout poster with song lyrics on the flip-side.
Serial number: PMC 7067 & PMC 7068
Matrix number: XEX 709 - 1 / XEX 710 - 1 / XEX 711 - 1 / XEX 712 - 1 /
Stamper codes: 33 LH / 7 LD / 2 HA / 7 TT
Condition:
Vinyl: VERY GOOD +
Visually the vinyl are glossy and clean. Several light surface marks are present to all sides. The labels are bright and clean with no biro marks or tears. The audio is great, with some crackle on lead-ins to both sides and light noise in between tracks. The vinyls could probably benefit from a better clean than I can give them!
Sleeve: VERY GOOD +
The rare sleeve looks great. All sides retain a glossy finish with bright laminate. There is almost no sign of ring wear, fully readable wide-spine with only subtle wear to laminate, bottom edge with only slight wear, and corners with very mild wear.
Inner Sleeves: Good
The original inner sleeves have top edge wear and some ancient sellotape repairs.
Poster and Cards:
The four photo cards are EXCELLENT. The poster is EXCELLENT with age related staining - never unfolded before this listing I suspect.
This record will be sent via an insured courier in a padded vinyl mailer.
