Description
Original UK Apple label stereo 1968 1st press double LP.Complete first pressing with top opening sleeve, all the inserts and the wide spine cover. The No. 0438180 on the front cover and the 'Sold in the UK..' label texts & the dark green Apple second variant labels with the 'An E.M.I. Recording' credit (see The Beatles Collection online)! The fully laminated wide spine Garrod & Lofthouse top opening gatefold sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some light laminate rubbing/staining & some corner wear, with a couple of small laminate creases on the corners of the outer cover. The wide spine is intact and still readable, but it is slightly crushed and the laminate has cracked and lifted in places. The plain black inners are intact & in VG+ condition, with some creasing and edge wear and the matt foldout poster is in EX condition, with some light creasing & the four photos are in EX condition. The records are in visually EX+ condition, sides 1 & 2 have a few faint hairlines & one or two small needle scuffs and sides 3 & 4 have a couple of faint sleeve removal hairlines & one or two light needle marks/scuffs visible on each side. The labels are in EX condition, clean & bright with evidence of a few faint spindle markings on sides 1 & 2 and a couple of faint spindle markings on sides 3 & 4. The sound reproduction is EX+, clear & precise throughout with definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some low background noise during the run in grooves & briefly in a couple of the quieter passages, overall it is a really great, loud & punchy listen! The matrix nos. are; YEX-709-2 mother stamper 2-GRH, YEX-710-1 mother stamper 3-AA, YEX-711-2 mother stamper 1-GAA, YEX-712-1 mother stamper 2-MP.
