The Beatles - White Album
(Parlophone PCS 7067/8 UK LP 19??)
This is a 1970's UK/ Irish double LP pressing. It has a fully laminated, side opening, gatefold sleeve which has an embossed "The Beatles" on the front. It has both Mono & Stereo catalogue numbers on the spine. Interestingly the sleeve has the "Printed & made in Great Britain.." text on the inner gatefold.
It comes with both its original plain paper inner sleeves. This copy apparently did not come with a Poster or the four portrait photos.
The records have mid 1970's black, silver & white "Parlophone" labels which have two boxed "EMI" logos on them. The labels have "Made in Ireland" printed on them. The matrix numbers & stampers are as follows;
- Side 1: YEX 709-3 C "IRL" is machine stamped in the dead wax, and "HTM" is etched in the dead wax.
- Side 2: YEX 710-3 C "IRL" is machine stamped in the dead wax.
- Side 3: YEX 711-1 "IRL" is machine stamped in the dead wax.
- Side 4: YEX 712-2 "IRL" is machine stamped in the dead wax.
The records look to have been pressed in the UK specifically for the Irish market? Most Irish pressings seem to have Apple labels so this is a bit of an oddity. It is definitely quite rare nevertheless.
Gatefold Sleeve: There is some light to mild fading to the very top portion of the sleeve. There is some light to mild ringwear. There are two light scratch marks to the spine. There is also a small bit of sticker residue on the rear sleeve. There is a very small stain on the rear sleeve too. VG condition. Vinyl 1: There are some mild to more moderate sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light, & some mild pressing marks too. There is one light hairline marks also. VG condition. The labels are clean & show mild spindle wear only. Plays VG+ to Near Excellent overall & Excellent in some places. There is some light to very mild crackle in some quieter places. The plain paper inner sleeve is in VG+ condition.
Vinyl 2: There are some light to very mild sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light, & some very light pressing marks too. VG++ condition. The labels are clean & show very mild spindle wear only. Plays VG+ to Near Excellent overall & Excellent in some places. There is some light to very mild crackle in some quieter places. The plain paper inner sleeve is in VG+ condition
The inner sleeve is in Near EX condition. There is some mild wear but no seam splits.
Grading adheres to “Record Collector” specifications. I shall use good quality packaging (proper vinyl mailers & two card dividers).
Postage for 1 LP in the UK is £4.50. You can add one extra LP for free (up to the weight of 1kg).
Postage for 1 LP in Europe is £6.65 to £7.85 (depending on weight). Add £1.25 for each additional LP up to 2kg.
Postage for 1 LP for the rest of the world is £8.75 to £11.50 (depending on weight). Add £2 for each additional LP up to 2kg.
Insurance is necessary if this item exceeds £20. Overseas buyers will add £5.50 extra (plus an additional £2.50 if the item value exceeds £70).
