SUPERB WHITE TOP OPENING GATEFOLD COVER ( No 0439839 ) / ORIGINAL DIE-CUT BLACK INNER SLEEVES / ORIGINAL EARLIEST ISSUED LYRICS / POSTER / DARK APPLE LABELS WITH EMI Recording PRESENT ON ALL ! AND SUPERB AUDIO DELIVERED FROM BOTH RECORDS AND THE -1 MATRIX ALL SIDES CUT FROM THE 1ST LAQUER ALL IN TOP CONDITION !!!!

Released 22nd November 1968 both Mono and Stereo issues , there's alot of speculation surrounding this classic double album with many un-answered questions as to how many exist and who got the first issues, EMI recording on the labels , Dark green /light green apple labels , miss-printed labels etc etc ...
Many countries that pressed their own vinyls could not produce their own covers so many countries recieved original UK top opening covers ! so as to how many of the same numbers exist is anybody's guess ? As for the EMI Recording text on the labels, It's said that the 1st printed labels did not have this present but both with and without could be found in the same cover both on original early 1st presses .This was due to a late delivery of the covers, forcing the company to hire ex-servicemen with disabilities to help with the daunting task of inserting the records into the sleeves, this is why some records differed from another as it was all done by hand ! The covers were also mixed up, with some stereo issues placed in mono covers and vice versa, it's said the first 100.000 were used for mono covers .One thing for sure is the earliest Dark Green Apple labels were used on the earliest issues with sold in uk...... text and the original darker , glossy prints were used, the poster has the lipstick picture and the correct EMI gramophone co.ltd text on the bottom corner, complete with the custom made charcoal black inner sleeves ( issued for many years throughout the apple range) and all housed in a fully laminated top opening Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold cover.

COVER This is the original fully laminated Garrod & Lofthouse Top opening gatefold 1st Issued cover which is a super clean and bright example, becoming extremely hard to find these days ! both front and rear are in very white condition with high-glossy laminate, no bubbles, lifting and just a couple of very faint creases and some light indentation marks towards the lower edge all of which are very hard to notice. The corners are all in nice condition with no bumps or bruising !!! and the spine has a light crease along the middle which is pretty much unavoidable but otherwise very square and solid, the inside is also in superb clean shape, very bright and spotless laminate that still has the new cracking sound upon opening, lovely fresh condition with nothing more to fault than a couple of tiny creases / indentations and just tiny tiny hint of toning ! Not often do you find such a nie example as this with this being this white and completely laminated and having to house 2 records, pictures and poster ! all takes it's toll and most are found badly worn on the top edges, seriously yellow stained and badly creased. This one however has managed to survive extremely well, easy to see that this has been very well cared for and stored properly.The top opening edges are near perfect with no tears or feathering and razor sharp, a very nice un-spolit example of what has become increasingly hard to find in this condition,one of the finest we have seen ! ( see-pics) very EXCELLENT PLUS CONDITION INNER SLEEVES These are the correct issued custom made die-cut holed charcaol black inners, both of which are in very clean shape with nothing more than some light storage creases, solid example (see-pics) EXCELLENT PLUS CONDITIONVINYL
All sides have a deep glossy shine and look super clean and mark free ! upon closer inspection under bright lighting a couple of faint wispy surface marks are visable but these are harmless marks and very hard to see, No scratches, scuffs or nasty blemishes visable on any playing surface . All 4 sides Visualy grade EXCELLENT PLUS CONDITION . All sides play through very well with very clear and bright audio, even between tracks there's barely any distractions ! impossible to find like this, No pops, skips or repeats, no nasty clicks and just a hint of very low level static on intros- and the odd soft tick, superb audio delivered through both channels on all tracks. No evidence of groove wear, these really have been very well cared for and treated with the up most respect ( see-pics ) All sides audibly EXCELLENT PLUS CONDITION THE LABELS Original 1st issued dark green apple labels with sold in uk...text ! All of which have the EMI recording text present. All are in very clean and bright condition with no writing , marks etc just the odd faint, miss-aimed spindle traces around the unworn centre holes which can only be seen when angled or in direct sunlight or overhead flashlight as photoraphed.Side 4 hast the KT tax code present ! All in EXCELLENT PLUS CONDITION ( see-pics) PICTURE / PRINTS These are the original earliest issued prints with glossy darker colour, all are in pristine condition with no, tears or pin holes and havn't been stuck on the walls etc ! stunning NEAR MINT CONDITION LYRICS / POSTER Again this is the original 1st issued poster with the correct text in the lower corner , lovely condition with no writing, tape marks, pin holes and just the crease/ folds from which it was issued with, nothing more super clean and bright example ( see-pics) EXCELLENT CONDITION THIS REALLY IS A LOVELY COMPLETE ORIGINAL 1ST PRESSING EXAMPLE WITH ALL THE CORRECT COMPONENTS AND ALL IN A SUPERB CONDITION, A MUST FOR ANY MUSIC LOVER BUT ESPECIALLY FOR THE BEATLES FAN.PLEASE READ INFORMATION BELOW FOR GRADING,PACKING AND POSTAGE DETAILS.

PACKING:
DISCS ARE ALWAYS REMOVED FROM THEIR COVERS AND HOUSED IN PROTECTIVE PLASTIC SLEEVES.THEY ARE THEN PLACED BETWEEN RIGID CARD STIFFERNERS AND THEN CAREFULLY PACKED IN STRONG PROFESSIONAL CUSTOM MADE BOXES. THUS GIVING MAXIMUM PROTECTION, SO YOU RECIEVE THE ITEM IN THE SAME CONDITION AS IT LEFT US.
