CONDITION

All Labels: NEAR MINT

An outstanding set which are richly coloured and perfectly clean with just a small handful of barely visible, well aimed spindle trials around each totally unworn centre hole.

Both Discs Visual: EXCELLENT +

Pristine, deep-gloss playing surfaces which retain all of their factory shine, undulled by careless storage or groove-whitening from. In fact, apart from a single non-feelable 2cm hairline on sides 2 & 4, all surfaces are unmarked in strong daylight. Close inspection directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals just some harmless wispy hairlines consistent with storage/removal from the unforgiving black inners, but no significant visual blemishes or wear. Both discs of this well looked-after set lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.

Overall Sound Quality: EXCELLENT +

This very clean sounding set had clearly received just a handful of careful plays on top-quality equipment and every track plays without any trace of groove/playwear distortion or background crackle/interference. My single careful play-check at volume did however detect several light ticks on disc 1, but certainly nothing to spoil the enjoyment of the impressive & true mono mix. Disc 2 also had a few light ticks on the fade of 'Yer Blues' and a few more a during 'Mother Nature's Son, but very little else to distract on this fine set which would be tough to upgrade.

Cover: EXCELLENT

An impressive example from heavy card stock which is clean & firm throughout and free from any significant or major wear.

Both front & rear panels are clean and retain their high-gloss laminate finish. There are a few small indentation marks on the front panel from storage, but the unique number is bold & unworn. All corners are in great shape with just a faint bruise to the upper right and all of the top-opening edges are clean with no tears or feathering to any.

Both panel inside the gatefold are immaculate and totally wear-free.

The spine's laminate has split along its length but both sets of wording are clean & readable. Finally, both upper & lower seams of both pockets are smooth unstressed and unsplit.

Unhung with general handling wear with some foxing & a small tear to one of the centre folds.

Inner-sleeves: EXCELLENT

Both are clean & flat with just a little wear along the upper edge of one but both are free from any seam splits.
