THE BEATLES - 'WHITE ALBUM'
1968 UK 1st *MONO* PRESSING LP
This excellent 1968 1st MONO pressing is on the dark green Apple label: PMC 7067 & PMC 7068
All labels include both the 'An EMI Recording' text & 'Sold in UK..' texts.
A 'KT' tax/price code is present in the centre of the side 1 label only.
Housed in a fully laminated, inner-flipback, top-loading 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover individually numbered: No.0265866
Complete with its original 4 colour portrait photos and UK printed poster & white photo-spacer.
Also present are both matt-black, die-cut inner-sleeves.
Matrix numbers: XEX 709-1, XEX 710-1 & XEX 711-1, XEX 712-2
Stamper codes: 7/GDP, 9/MO & 5/GRR, 3/GMG
Disc weight: Both weigh 151g

Labels: EXCELLENT
A very clean & bright pair with just a small collection of light spindle trails to each centre hole.
Visual: 1. VERY GOOD + 2. EXCELLENT
Clean & deep-gloss surfaces which display some faint marks from inner-sleeve storage/removal on side 1 in strong daylight, but no major marks or wear. Side 2 is at first gland, immaculate with just a single faint mark towards the edge of the disc visible only directly beneath my halogen desk lamp.
Play: 1. VERY GOOD + 2. EXCELLENT
Unlike most first discs from this set, this example has not been overplayed or abused. My careful play check at volume found no evidence of any groovewear distortion on any track. The only significant blemish I found on side 1 was a touch of background on the in/outro of 'Dear Prudence'. Side 2 was completely free from any significant deterioration to the sound or background noise. To iullustrate this, I have incuded a recording of the delicate 'Blackbird' on the player below. There are also no clicks, pops or any other such distraction on this excellent sounding disc.

Labels: EXCELLENT +
An immaculate set with just three or four light spindle trails to the side 3 centre hole and just one tiny one on label 4.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
Pristine 'as new' surfaces which are totally unmarked on close examination in strong daylight AND directly beneath my unforgiving halogen desk lamp. There are no marks, scratches or even any wispy paper hairlines anywhere on this immaculate disc.
Play: EXCELLENT +
This disc has clearly been barely played and sounds it. Every track plays cleanly and clearly throughout with no traces of groovewear or background noise to be heard, let alone any clicks, pops or other such distraction.
Cover
VERY GOOD +
A very clean & more importantly, white example which apart from some minor storagewear, is still in excellent shape. The front panel is perfectly clean & gloss with no creasing or damage to the laminate which is fully intact over the raised wording - even the number is bold and undamaged. There is some shelfwear to the right corners but the top-opening edges show only a few small 'pushes and no tears or feathering. The inside of the gatefold is clean and unmarked. The rear panel is just as fine but there is a some rubbing/wear to the rear side seam which appears to be from storage but has not split. The spine has some flaking to the laminate but is overall clean with all of the text present and readable.

Extremely clean & undamaged with just a few light handling wrinkles but no other traces of wear or any damage.

A few faint handling marks but no significant or major wear.
Inner-sleeves
VERY GOOD
Clean & flat with some general handling wear & a small centre hole tear on one, but no seam splits to either.
