CONDITION
Disc 1
Labels: NEAR MINT
A superb rich and unblemished set with just two small spindle trails to each centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
Pristine, deep-gloss playing surfaces which appear at first glance to be 'as new' and unmarked in strong daylight. Closer examination reveals just a 3mm mark on the final track on side 1 but there are no no other blemishes to either side in strong daylight. Closer inspection directly beneath my halogen desk lamp found a single stylus hairline scratch on side 1 and two more on side two it really is hard to fault.
Play: EXCELLENT +
Copies of this album rarely appear in anything approaching this condition & it is clear from visual evidence alone that this copy has truely been barely played. As a result, my careful play check at volume found the sound is superb overall with little evidence of any groove/play wear or any background noise. The only audible blemishes were a few light ticks on the fade-in/out of 'Dear Prudence' and a few soft 'pops' on 'Happiness Is A Warm Gun' from the aforementioned mark. Apart from that, here really is little to fault on this extremely respectable and well looked-after disc.
Disc 2
Labels: NEAR MINT
Again, an immaculate set with just three or four light spindle trails to the side 3 centre hole and just one tiny one on label 4.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Pristine 'as new' surfaces which are totally unmarked on close examination in strong daylight AND directly beneath my unforgiving halogen desk lamp. There are no marks, scratches or even any wispy paper hairlines on either surface of this immaculate disc.
Play: NEAR MINT
This disc has clearly been barely played and sounds so. Every track plays cleanly and clearly throughout with no traces of groovewear or background noise to be heard, let alone any clicks, pops or other such distraction.
Cover
NEAR MINT
An extremely clean & more importantly, white example which bears very little evidence of its 41 years. The front panel is perfectly clean & glossy with just a very light disc impression but no creasing or damage to the laminate which remeains fully intact over the raised wording. The unique number is clean, bold and undamaged. All corners and top-opening edges are free from any bumps bruises or any other significant wear or damage. The inside of the gatefold is perfectly clean & unmarked. The rear panel is just as fine as the front with just a small bend to the upper part of the spine but no marks, indentations or any other blemishes. All seams are smooth, unstressed and unsplit and the spine is fully laminated and clearly worded with no flaking or splitting to any part.
Poster
EXCELLENT
Extremely clean & undamaged with just a few light handling wrinkles but no other traces of wear or any damage.
Photos
MINT
All are 'as new'.
Photo-spacer
EXCELLENT +
A few faint handling wrinkles but no significant or major wear.
Inner-sleeves
EXCELLENT +
Clean & flat with some unavoidable light storage wear but no tears, splits or missing paper to any part.
