'WHITE ALBUM'
1968 UK 1st *MONO* PRESSING DOUBLE LP
COMPLETE WITH **WIDE SPINE** COVER
This fine UK mono first pressing on the dark green Apple labels: PMC 7067/8
All labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' text and 'Apple Records...' rim texts.
Disc one labels carry the 'An E.M.I. Recording' statement. Disc 2 does not.
There is no tax/price code is visible on any label.
House in a fully laminated top loading W I D E spine 'Garrod & Lofthouse' mono cover, numbered: No.0138050.
This rare sleeve variant has a spine measuring 10mm across as opposed to regular spine which measure 6/7mms.
Complete with original matt black inners, four 'thick' card colour photos and matt 'Garrod & Lofthouse' poster.
Matrix numbers: XEX 709-1, 710-1, 711-1, 712-1
Stamper numbers: 1/G, 2,6/GRA, 1/R, 2/R
Cover: VERY GOOD PLUS
The cover has slightly aged in colour but still retains its shiny laminate displaying just moderate handling and storage wear.
The top opening edge shows some wear with two small pieces of missing laminate but no tears or major damage.
The laminate around the embossed 'The Beatles' wording is unsplit and the number is bold and clear.
The right corners show slight bruising but no serious 'bumps'. The inside gatefold displays no wear.
There is a 1cm laminate split on the right edge which stores the 1st disc but it has not split through.
The wide spine's laminate is largely intact with just two 1cm splits but all the text is clean and readable.

Visual: EXCELLENT
The surfaces are very clean and bright an undulled by groove-whitening or 'bag rash' and retain their deep gloss shine.
Apart from a few 'fingernail' scuffs on side 2 there really are no scratches or deep marks visible in direct light.
100% flat on the turntable with no dishing or warping.
Audio: VERY GOOD PLUS
There is a few second of hiss on the opening plane sound effect and on 'Martha My Dear' but otherwise no major audible faults.
There is some slight intermittant wear evident on some peaks and during some quieter passages but no clicks, pops, jumps or repeats.
Visual: EXCELLENT
As with disc 1 the surfaces are clean and glossy surfaces with some light sleeve removal marks and a few careless' fingernail' scuffs but no major marks.
100% flat on the turntable with no dishing or warping.
Audio: VERY GOOD PLUS
All music plays without groovewear distortion and the quiet tracks are clear and fresh with no background interference .
There is a tiny 3mm scratch on 'Everybody's Got something to Hide..' which causes two small jumps, but no other audible faults.
Without the above fault the disc would easily grade an audible 'Excellent'.
No tears or splits.
Poster: VERY GOOD PLUSA few light creases but has never been on a wall and has no tears along the folds.
