THE BEATLES - 'WHITE ALBUM'
1968 UK 1st STEREO PRESSING LP
* This complete UK 1968 STEREO variant pressing is on the dark green Apple label: PCS 7067 & PCS 7068.
* All labels include both the 'An EMI Recording' text & 'Sold in UK..' statement.
* The side 2 label misspells track 4: 'Rocky Raccoon' as 'Rocky RACOON'
* A 'KJT' purchase tax code is present around the side 1 centre hole.
* Housed in a fully laminated, inner-flipback, top-loading 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed with the small rear stereo logo & individually numbered: No. 0576474 with the square/wider variant 9 mm spine.
* Complete with its original 4 thick card colour portrait photos and UK printed poster & matt-black, die-cut inner-sleeves.
* Matrix numbers: YEX 709-1, YEX 710-1 & YEX 711-1, YEX 712-1
* Stamper codes: 4/GDP, 1/O & 3/MG, 2/GRA

LP1: EXCELLENT LP2: NEAR MINT
A super set with the just a few faint fingermarks on label 2 but only a handful of light spindle trails around each centre hole. The labels on disc 2 are immaculate with no more than 2 light spindle trails to both centre holes.

LP1: VERY GOOD LP2: VERY GOOD +
All playing surfaces are clean and glossy but disc 1 bears several light surface marks and an occasional light scratch in strong daylight, together with some inevitable wispy paper hairlines from inner-sleeve removal beneath halogen light. Disc 2 is much better with just a few harmless light surface marks - not scratches - and again some unavoidable wispy paper hairlines beneath the same powerful halogen light. There are a handful of tiny white spots/material in some of grooves on the 2nd disc which I have not attempted to clean them out but this may be possible.
Audio:
LP1: VERY GOOD + LP2: VERY GOOD
Both discs play without any major deterioration to the sound quality. My careful playcheck picedk out a few light ticks on the side 1 run/fade -in together with some light background into 'Dear Prudence' & on side 2 's Martha My Dear' as on 'Blackbird'. However, there are no major distractions or faults to either side. As with disc 1, the second disc plays without any groove or play wear, however I have downgraded it due to several pops and clicks & a single jump during 'Goodnight' all caused by the aformentioned marks.
Cover:
EXCELLENT
A strong & unworn example which has some light toning towards the lower edge but is otherwise clean & unblemished. The front panel is bright & glossy with a touch of storage rubbing to the laminate but no 'thumbnails' or any other creasing or wear. The rear panel has a faint disc impression and a single 'thumbnail' wrinkle but no other signs of wear. All corners are in excellent unbumped shape and all of the top-opening edges are clean, and unworn. The inside of the gatefold is immaculate and unmarked. The spine is clean & white and the laminate is, apart from a 2.5 cm part at the top, fully intact and covers all the printed wording. All seams are smooth, unstressed and unsplit.

Extremely clean & undamaged with just a few faint age-related spots but no significant signs of wear.

EXCELLENT & VERY GOOD
Both a very clean & flat with just some light handling wear to one but no seams splits to either.
My grading is strict & conservative grading under strong daylight & directly beneath a halogen desk lamp to UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' standards.
