An original First Issue of this Double LP pressed in 1968.

* "Sold in UK subject to..." printed on all LP labels (first issue)
* Dark green Apple label
* Label number PCS7067 and PCS7068 ie Stereo

* Mother/stamper numbers are 2GPA, 2GAD, 2GAM, 4GMA
* Each side played through completely, and individually visually graded and play-graded NM to EX
* No damage or writing on any label
Outer Sleeve
* Original laminated outer sleeve by Garrod and Lofthouse
* Heavyweight very early issue sleeve; you can feel the extra weight and strength the second that you pick it up !
* Top-loading
* Numbered copy, 0330767 stamped on front cover.
* "The Beatles" embossed in the laminate on front cover.
* The small word "stereo" on the back at top/right
* EX+ grading. The cover is in excellent structural condition, and a nice, even, slightly off-white colouration
* Spine completely intact, laminate undamaged, and all words clear and easily readable
* All cover edges inside and out are completely undamaged
* No creasing worth mention, a nice bold number and the title embossing clean, clear and intact. The only blemish is a single 1cm long scuff in the laminate (shown in the photo of the front towards the topright corner)
Black Inner Sleeves
* Original Apple black inner sleeves.
* 1968 matt black paper inner sleeves, (with the hole diecut on just 1 side.)
* Excellent condition
* Inner sleeve 1, EX, is completely intact and undamaged with no tears around the centre hole, just a few creases. A small seam split 3" on one side that only becomes visible when you open the cover up wide.
* Inner sleeve 2, VG++, has a few creases and is slightly worn/scuffed on the top-opening and in one place on the central hole. Small seam split 4"on one side that becomes visible when you open the cover up wide.
Poster
* Original lyrics poster
* Made by Garrod and Lofthouse, correctly identified as such on the back/bottom/right.
* Rated as VG+
* Completely intact and undamaged, no pinholes and no writing. It has obviously been opened and closed a number of times and the folds are becoming fragile and a little worn.
Photos
* Comes complete with 4 photos, one of each Beatle
* No pinholes, no glue residues, no writing. A few light fingermarks on the surface.
* VG++ condition.
LP -Visual and Play
All 4 sides of the LPs have been not only visually examined, but also played on a quality deck and carefully listened to all the way through.
Side 1 - visually rated EX++/NM- A superb surface on this vinyl. Even under the very strongest of light only a few minute surface rubs become visible. On play it was rated EX++ I detected three quiet clicks near the start of track 2; part from that the entire side was flaw-free, no jumps, no ticks, not even any background noise between tracks. Fabulous!
Side 2 - visually rated EX- , there are just two light superficial scratches across the last track. On play of this track I noted a total of 2 quiet clicks near the start of the track. The remainder of the side played EX+ , completely flawfree, no sticks, no jumps, no ticking, no crackle or background noise. The stereo sound on this disc is superb.
Side 3 - visually rated NM- Under the strongest light I can detect just one almost invisible light circular scuff marking on track 3 . On play of track 3 if you listen very carefully you can hear a few quiet clicks and some background crackle. The remainder of the side was flaw-free with no jumps or ticks or sticks etc etc ; some crackle detectable in the quiet periods in the gaps between the later tracks.
Side 4 - I cannot find anything to comment on, other than to say this side has a fine sheen/shine, looks NM and is completely unmarked. On play the side was completely flaw-free with no ticks, jumps, sticks etc etc. I thought I may have heard an occasional quiet click, but you cannot really tell on side 4 - the side with all the peculiar or silly Beatles noises on the soundtrack.
A full 93 minutes of EX/NM sound !!
