Outer Sleeve
* Original laminated outer sleeve by Garrod and Lofthouse.
* Heavyweight very early issue sleeve - the very earliest sleeves are instantly identifiable by their heavier weight and strength.
* Top-loading  - 1st issue
* Numbered copy, 0157589 stamped on front cover.
* "The Beatles" embossed in the laminate on front cover.
* No writing or markings of any kind on rear of the cover.
* EX condition
* Completely intact and undamaged, just a few creases in the laminate. Slightly yellowing with age around the outer edges.
* Laminate on spine is intact and undamaged.

Poster
* Original lyrics poster
* Made by Garrod and Lofthouse, correctly identified as such on the back/bottom right corner.
* Rated as Near mint
* Completely intact and undamaged, no markings of any kind, no noticeable wear on the creases.

Photos
* Comes complete with 4 photos, one of each Beatle
* No damage, no tears, no writing.
* VG++ there are a total of 5 very small pinholes in the top corners. 

Black Inner Sleeves
* The black inner sleeves are in VG++ condition
* Original 1968 matt black paper inner sleeves, (with the hole diecut on just 1 side.)
* Inner sleeve 1 is in EX- condition  - completely intact, no seam splits, undamaged opening edge, just a few creases and a 1cm tear on the centre hole 
* Inner sleeve 2 is VG+, completely intact, slight fraying of the opening edge, small tear 1cm on the centre hole, seam split 4cm.

LP -Visual and Play
All 4 sides of the LPs have been not only visually examined, but also played on a quality deck and carefully listened to all the way through. 

The sound quality of all 4 sides was outstanding, no flaws were detectable, not even any noticeable  ticks or background noise ! EX+ at least probably NM.

 Side 1 - visually rated EX had no scratches and no markings visible in normal light.  Under very strong light at an angle very light surface rubbing can be detected.  Play was NM   no flaws, no ticks, no background noise was noticeable.
Side 2 -visually EX-  a few very light wispy superficial rubbings visible in normal light.  Play was NM , no sound defect was detectable and the wonderful sound quality was immediately noticeable from the first track; even superior to side 1.
Side 3 - visually EX++  no scratches and no markings visible in normal light.  A very few light surface rubbings became visible under very strong angled light.  Play was NM, and flawless throughout the side, I thought I noticed 2 light clicks in the last track.
Side 4 - visually EX  , in normal light one very short superficial scratch in track 1 and 2 small scuffs on the last track.  Play was EX , we detected just 3 very quiet clicks on the sound track of Cry Baby
