1968 UK 1st *MONO* PRESSING DOUBLE LP

**EXCELLENT & 100% COMPLETE **

This excellent 1968 1st mono pressing is numbered: No.0064080 and is 100% complete with black inners, poster, photos and white photo spacer.

I have played the entire LP at volume on high-end audio equipment and graded carefully and accurately for your complete satisfaction.

This fine UK mono first pressing on the dark green Apple labels: PMC 7067/8
All labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' text and 'Apple Records...' rims.
This early copy omits the 'An E.M.I. Recording' statement from all labels.
There is no tax/price code visible on any label.

Housed in a fully laminated, top loading 'Garrod & Lofthouse' mono cover numbered: No.0064080.
Complete with: black inners, matt 'Garrod & Lofthouse' poster, four 'thick card' colour photos & white paper spacer.

Matrix numbers: XEX 709-1, 710-1, 711-1, 712-1
Stamper numbers: 4/GH, 2,6/RG, 2/RH, 1/A

CONDITION

Cover: EXCELLENT

A fine example from thick, heavy card stock still retaining a good 'whiteness' and an unscratched, unpitted and uncreased front laminate.
There are 3 light creases to the spine but the laminate around the embossed 'The Beatles' wording is unsplit and the number is bold and clear.
The top opening edge has one small nick to the front leaf only but is otherwise sharp, clean and unworn.
The lower corners display slight bruising but there are no heavy 'bumps' or creasing.
The inside inside gatefold is perfect with no wear at all. There are no marks, indentations, or writing anywhere.
The spine is strong and although there is some splitting of the laminate, all the text is clean, undamaged and readable.

Disc 1

Labels: EXCELLENT

Visual: EXCELLENT

Both surfaces are extremely clean and bright, undulled by groove-wear and retain their deep gloss shine.
There are just a few very feint non-feelable/non-audible lines visible but no heavy or deep marks or scratches.
100% flat on the turntable with no dishing or warping.

Audio: EXCELLENT PLUS

Superb clear, loud and warm sound from every track with no crackle or groovewear distortion anywhere.
There are just a few soft 'ticks' on the introduction to 'Martha My Dear' but apart from that it's flawless.
All bands between tracks run silently and there is no crackle, hiss, clicks, pops, jumps or repeats.

Disc 2

Labels: EXCELLENT

Visual: VERY GOOD PLUS

Again, the surfaces are bright and clean with slightly more light marks and sleeve removal hairlines than disc 1.
However, there are no large marks or deep or feelable scratches.
100% flat on the turntable with no dishing or warping.

Audio: VERY GOOD

Some light intermittant wear is audible during certain passages but no 'loud passage distortion' in either channel.
There are a few soft 'ticks' at the beginning of 'Revolution # 9' and slight groovewear on 'Goodnight' but no heavy clicks, pops, jumps or repeats.

Photos: NEAR MINT

Black inners: EXCELLENT

No tears or splits.

Spacer: VERY GOOD

Some light creases and a 5mm tear to the edge.

Poster: NEAR MINT
