This is a UK promotional copy of the 'White Album' in a totally unique sleeve. As you'll see from the photos, the gatefold sleeve is laminated as per the normal issue, but is not embossed with 'The Beatles' on the front , neither does the spine contain any writing. The most unusual thing however, is the inside of the gatefold sleeve contains no pictures or track listing , and is totally blank. Both the labels on the discs have factory sample stickers.

I'd guess that this is an early 70s pressing as the sleeve is beautifully laminated, and the discs appear to be of this period as well. Obviously then this is a side opening issue. How many of these were used to promote this LP is anyone's guess, but after extensive searching on both the internet, and various conversations with Beatles collectors no one seems to be aware this item. I'd therefore say that this is a true Beatles rarity.
