Beatles White Album, UK STEREO, VERY NR/MINT + INSERTS
The Beatles, Same ("White" Album).
Presumed 1973 UK pressed Apple Records stereo double LP set, PCS 7067-8. Housed in unnumbered side opening fully laminated sleeve with poster and four prints and white inner sleeves.
Dark green Apple labels with each LP weighing around the 115g mark.

A generally beautifully preserved set. This was acquired direct from a private collection which had been little played and fastidiously stored.
Vinyl in very near mint condition. Using a magnifying glass I can detect no more than a couple of wispy hairline spider trace marks at centre spindle areas on all label sides, and some have no visible hairline traces. Appears carefully played no more than a very few times. Surfaces have a rich and bright gloss and are for the most part free of any marks. At the beginning of side 3 a series of approx. four small scuff marks is visible. These do not appear to be scratches, rather grey patchy marks, and could possibly be from manufacture or perhaps edge residue. The marks are right at the beginning of the side, and mainly on the run-in, although they encroach into the first track (Birthday) just a little. Three or four quite pronounced scuffs are heard at the run-in, but luckily just one very soft initial swish is heard once the track starts, and playback is clean thereafter. These are isolated marks on otherwise near mint surfaces, which hardly even display any sleeve removal scuffs.
Aside from the one area mentioned, playback is superb throughout, and free of any background crackle, ticks or pops. Plays really superbly, and although a repress still has a very bright and crisp dynamic.
Labels are clean and undefaced all sides, and still with a good sheen.
Inner sleeves are plain white paper with made in UK and Patent numbering, but no date marks. These are in clean, unsplit and unmarked condition, although a little browned to left and right hand edges.
Inserts as near mint as they come, and look as though they have never been removed from the sleeve.
Gatefold sleeve also not far from near mint. Both interior and exterior are not only free of inscriptions or sticker marks, but still have an as new gloss and are completely free of handling marks. When angled in front of a light source just a very few tiny and wispy hairlines are visible to the surfaces. Tips and extremities all extremely crisp and sharp, including entry side, with not a hint of feathering or chipping. Spine crisp and sharp with just the expected single linear hairline to centre at opening joint. There is just a touch of tanning to the spine area and front and rear panels near the spine area, but this is minimal and barely detracts.
Very tough to find this album in anything approaching this condition. Even if LPs are in good condition, the majority of White Albums which have not been in careful storage tend to suffer from grubby and tatty sleeves and inserts once they enter the open market.
