The Beatles - The White Album
Mobile Fidelity LP
LP is half speed mastered by Orignal Masteringworks using the orignal stereo master tape, mastered using the Ortofon cutting system and specially plated and pressed on high definition super vinyl by the Victor company of Japan Ltd. The vinyl is so pure that you can actually see through it!The difference in the sound is pronounced. The cymbals have more clarity and air while the bass is smoother and much more present in the mix.
MOFI did a great job with the Beatles releases and this pressing sounds better than the CD's (imho) that came later and were touted as the best resolution. The White Album never sounded like this and I have a numbered copy from the original batch.
Bought some 25 years ago and played with a good cartridge but only a couple/few times. It seemed too perfect to take a chance and damage it. Having played it, I can't call it Mint but the vinyl is NEAR MINT.
The records are in dust free/static free audiophile inner sleeves and protected by cardboard sleeves that fit into the outer jacket sleeve. The outer jacket has a slightly dog eared corner – pictured lower right and there is very minor ring wear that is to feint to photograph.
