Description
Beatles Beatles 'White Album' rare 1st Pressing Mono PMC 7067/8 - transitional labels, top loader, less than 100k serial, complete in very good condition. This is an early copy, the number is 0099442, it is top opening with flip back sides.
Matrix/Runouts/stampers are:
XEX 709-1 5 TD XEX 710 -1 7 LH
XEX 711-1 1G XEX 712-2 1G
This is complete with the four colour postcards, a separator, the original black inner sleeves and the poster/lyric sheet.
The inner sleeves are good, one has a three inch area of tape applied and is still very useable.
The record itself is a transitional copy with the first album from the first pressing run - I am reliably informed that as the stamper is a single digit number and two letters and the matrix ends in '1' that sides 1 and 2 are likely from the first pressing run, the second album has 'An EMI Recording' added to the labels and is a 1G stamper which I understand is quite rate for mono records.
Both play extremely well, the odd light audible artefact, a very short light scratch that pops (only 2mm on playing surface) at the beginning of side 2 and some very light marks on both records, certainly nothing to be felt with a fingernail, there the odd light noise or pop that does not detract from sound quality, I have tried to photograph a light scruff/scratch on one of the sides but it is hard to capture.
This is a very honest description, both albums are very clean, very shiny, the cover is slightly yellowed and is glossy and straight with light edge wear and marginal ring wear visible.
Overall a great looking album, collectable issue and condition with only slight issues. Plays excellent - worthy of playing on my best deck!
Fully tracked and insured postage in the UK will be £10.00
