The Beatles With The Beatles 1st issue STEREO UK LP Matrix numbers are YEX 110 - 2 and YEX 111 - 2
This is the rare first pressing STEREO issue of the Beatles second album. The first album to be recognised by music critics as containing ground breaking songs by Lennon and McCartney. It also contains George Harrison's first song "Don't Bother Me". Amazing to consider this album is now 62 years old!
First issue parlophone rim labels and Jobete publishing credit for the song "Money".
The vinyl grades Vg+, it would be EX+ for two small scratches that cause a few low level clicks. I almost missed them! The cover grades VG + small damage to the opening edge of front cover - which has been almost invisibly repaired. This can be seen in the photos. otherwise an Excellent cover. The cover is the earliest example with very dark print photo, this was almost immediately changed. Also the Stereo logo on front cover has been printed over the laminate - so is slightly rubbed. This is the rarest variation of this cover, and extremely scarce to find in such good condition.
The vinyl surface is stunning except for the couple of light scratches (mentioned above and also shown in pictures). The album sounds really great with very little surface noise at all. It's loud and raw and sounds fresh even today.
