Description

THE BEATLES

'WITH THE BEATLES'

1963 UK **1st PRESS** MONO LP

'JOBETE' LABEL PUBLISHING CREDIT

The huge sounding '-1N' matrices were withdrawn by EMI just weeks after its release in November 1963 after many buyers complained their copies 'jumped'. EMI blamed 'faulty masters' to be the cause of the problem. Re-cut '-5N/-6N/-7N' matrices followed.
No such problems today, this copy plays perfectly.

This excellent 1963 first mono pressing is on the UK yellow & black Parlophone label PMC 1206
Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' but carry 'Parlophone Co... rim texts
The side 2 label publishing credit for 'Money' is 'Jobete Mus.'
The label carries the 'You Really Gotta Hold On Me' spelling
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible on the side two label
Housed in a front laminated, flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' '..Got A..' sleeve
Complete with original lined 'Use Emitex' inner-sleeve

Matrix numbers: XEX 447-1N & XEX 448-1N
Stamper numbers: 7/GAR & 1/PM
