I will be listing 7 Beatles albums still factory sealed. These 7 albums no doubt  define the true meaning of RARE.  Other people, as well other retail record companies can claim to know and have rare Beatles albums, but no other Beatles albums can say that they are only 1 of an estimated 6 left in the sealed promo version in the world. These albums were sent into all the radio stations in the 70's to the stations that played the Beatles genre. Capitol records knew that a great deal of the original Beatles albums of the 60's had seen a great deal of play time, and were literally worn out. Capitol at the time felt it necessary to breath life in what was probably a small slump in record sales at the time. Whether or not this was a knee jerk reaction to what was actually happening, know one will ever know. What was in fact happening was the emergence of a new core demographic of radio listeners. Capitol wanted to take no chances and knew they needed to stimulate more radio air time, and what better way to do so by sending out a new set of Beatles albums to all the radio stations across America. Each radio station received 1 set to be played replacing the old original sets. I purchased my 7 albums from my friend a radio executive who happened to be at the right place at the right time. When Capitol records called informing executives of radio stations across the country that a new set of 23 Beatles albums would be arriving shortly, well you could imagine my friends excitement especially already being a huge Beatles. Already a seasoned executive in the radio business as well as very respected in the industry he asked Capitol for not 1 set but 3 sets keeping 2 for himself. When I purchased the 7 albums he had stated to me there were only a total of 3 unopened sets known to exist. I have since learned there is one other. I value this gentleman opinion very much. spending almost 40 years in the radio and entertainment business. In addition my friend also has every album ever produced by the Beatles and most of those  sealed, which I personally had the privilege of viewing at his home in Monterey Ca. So those of you who are true Beatles fans, have to ask yourself which albums really are the rarest, and wouldn"t these 7 make a great addition to your collection. I will be starting the bidding out at $149.00 with no reserve so good luck at what could be arguable the some of the rarest Beatle albums of all time.
