Description
Very nice Los Angeles (6) press of the Beatles’ Yesterday and Today. This is a Second State Butcher Cover. Ringo's V-neck is very clearly seen under the pasteover and there is a slight misalignment in the pasteover where you can see the grey Butcher Cover underneath (top left corner, see pictures). This copy is the nicest Second State I've seen, in that all the seams are in-tact and the front cover is very clean.
The Jacket grades Strong Very Good (SVG). There is a faint hint of ring wear and some very small corner dings. Some light spine and seam wear. The spine and seams are fully in-tact. The main flaw of this copy is there is noticeable staining on the back cover. Otherwise, I would easily rate this as a VG Plus copy. There is a “6” in the lower right corner, denoting this is a Los Angeles press.
The record rates Very Good. Record has nice luster and has some superficial marks. It does play with some occasional light surface noise/crackle. This does not overpower the music. No pops/skips. The run-outs denote this is a Los Angeles press (matching with the cover). Record has been play-tested. It does have the original insert, which has a small tear on one side and a split in the bottom seam.
