Year and Chart Position: 1966 #1
A rare opportunity to acquire a STEREO vinyl recording of this superb American album. This version is on the American ORANGE CAPITOL Label dating between 1974 and 1976 and the words "Mastered by Capitol" are printed on the run out area.
The matrix numbers on each run out groove are as follows....
Side 1 - ST:1 - 2553 - G26 Side 2 - ST:2 - 2553 - F26
There are no other mothers or stampers visible.
Vinyl Condition: Visually in Very Good+ to Excellent- condition. Maybe the odd faint blemish but looks good. Please note that someone has put the initials "FB" in marker pen on each side of the label.
Audibly, I would rate it as Very Good to Very Good+. The sound quality itself is fine, very punchy, but I would say there is a low to medium amount of pops and crackles in between the tracks.
Sleeve: Overall Very Good. All the seams are completely intact, as is the spine. A little bit of dirt / light scuffing on both sides with an added ink mark ("H499") on the back bottom right. Also it looks as if the first couple of centimeters from the sleeve entrance might at some time have been dipped in water as there is an obvious mark left (see photo's) and the sleeve at that point feels a little rugged.
Inner Sleeve: A paper sleeve in Very Good condition.
All in all, a pretty good disc to have in your collection.
