100% GUARANTEED 2nd STATE BUTCHER COVER !!
This is an original 1966 vinyl album by The Beatles. This rare LP " Yesterday and Today " (T 2253) is the 1st pressing mono edition on the original "rainbow" Capitol Records label. This is the super rare, highly collectible, sought after, hard to find (think that's enough hype...Ha Ha) 2nd state butcher cover version. Ringo's V-neck sweater and legs are plainly seen through the paste over cover. There is absolutely No doubt this is 100% guaranteed a 2nd state butcher cover. I made a detailed picture log of the cover for my records to avoid any confusion. Absolutely NO attempt has been made to peel the paste over from the cover (Not even a corner to peek under). The cover is in strong VG+ condition with just a few small issues. The bottom right corner has a small slight ding. The other three corners are nice. The front has just a tad of wear (hardly any), most noticably in George's hair. The top right of the back has "Rue" wrote in blue ink (close-up in picture # 11 ~ small, about 1/4 inch by 1/2 inch). Next to all the song titles on the back there is a small red mark, I think it's from a faded light red marker (close-up in picture #12). I'd like to smack the offender with the marker !! The top seam is great. The spine has some wrinkles and a small 1/4 inch place that is coming up. The bottom seam would be great except for a 3/4 inch place that has wear. All in all the cover is very nice and looks to have been really taken care of except for a marker bandit on the back. The vinyl is in EX- condition including nice color on the labels with a min. amount of spindle marks and hole wear. The original 1966 capitol inner sleeve is intact and in nice condition. The inner sleeve has partial seam splits on the bottom and one side. This record is certainly not pristine, but is a very nice highly coveted original Beatles collectible !
