THE BEATLES - 'YESTERDAY'
This immaculate NEAR MINT example of their penultimate 4-track EP dates from its March 1966 release.
This copy came to me SEALED from the U.S.A. where it was originally purchased and I have opened it specifically for this listing.
The EP features 4 tracks from the by then 7 month old 'Help' LP, and is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: GEP 8948
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text & upper case 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd...' rim texts.
The 'KT' purchase tax code is present in the centre of the side 1 label & in both run-outs.
Matrix numbers: 7TCE 894-1 & 7TCE 895-1
Stamper codes: 2/P & 3/O
The disc is housed within its original front laminated, bi-flipback picture cover which is still encased in its original store shrinkwrapping.

An immaculate set with just a single light mark aside each centre hole which must have been from the factory.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Factory-fresh, deep-gloss playing surface which are unmarked in strong daylight and bear just a few harmless sleeve storage marks when examined beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp. Both sides lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Sound Quality: NEAR MINT
Unplayed for 45 years, I carefully played it once and can confirm that apart from a touch of background at the beginning of 'Yesterday', the sound quality is flawless.
Cover: EXCELLENT
Shrinkwrapping was not common practice in the UK in the 1960's. However but UK imports in the U.S. were subjected to this process by stores in which they were sold. This particular example had been sealed since 1966 and as a natural consequence, the shrink has pulled the corners in a little. However, apart from that minor flaw, it is as it left the UK factory 45 years ago.
