WOW, flashback to the past....just played both sides of this album and there are no skips. Excellent condition. I took care of my records when I was young and it shows!
You are bidding on a Beatles LP Mono vinal record "Beatles Yesterday and Today" which has overlay on the cover which could reveal the valuable Butcher cover. I am not sure. I am not a record collector nor do I know how to evaluate them. Please judge for yourself from the information and the pictures !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is Capital Records.
I personally bought this record when it first came out......yeah, I am old. (I was in love with Paul and still am at the age of 50).
This has a cover overlay on the front that has not been peeled off to reveal a possible Butcher cover of this album. I can not guarentee that it is there since I do not dare peel it off. You can see the difference in color in the pictures from the original cover and the overlay on the front above George's head and all the way around front of album. I am not sure how to prove this but the following information should help.
- Capital label # T 2553, T2553 on top upper right of front
- RIAA # 3 on back lower right
- States on bottom back "This Monophonic recording is playable on monophonic or stereo phonics. It cannot become obsolete. It will continue to be a source of outstanding sound reproduction, providing the finest monophonic performance from an phonograph".
- Top back has the T 2553 Capital Records, High Fidelity Recording, "also available in stereo".
- The cover has no splits or holes. It does have some very minor shelf wear as shown in pictures.
The record has some very minor superficial wear marks, no skips. There has been an address label taped to each side, of the record, which I am sure could be removed but I am not brave enough to do so. See picture.
