Description
This is an extremley rare fan club pressing that was issues only to members of the Beatles fan club. I bought this album many years ago on a trip to the US.i have never seen it since.
The first unique feature of the album is the cover;for those of you who know the regular album the boys are walking left to right. On this one they are walking the other way. It is obvious that this photo was taken on the same day and during the same photo session as the white beetle is still parked there. however, on this alternate cover ,you will see that the black police van is no longer there. you can also see a red and white coca cola van disappearing along the street. the boys are dressed the same except for the fact that paul has put on a pair of sandals !
The rear cover is also very different: it shows a photo of the abbey road studios.on the drive out front is a red car and a traffic cone. printed on the back is "Fan Club Issue" and underneath "NW8".
the track listing is listed as follows :
side 1 :something / maxwells silver hammer / oh 1 darling / octous's garden
side 2 because / you never give me your money / sun king / mean mr mustard / polythene sam / she came in through the bedroom window / golden slumbers / car that weight / her majesty
They are alternative takes, not the ones one the album we all know.
on the back it also states "an emi recording.thanks to george martin, geoff emerick and Phillip mc donald. the cover is excellent with some minor creasing on spine.
The vinyl is umarked retaining its original sheen.
the label is white with turquoise writing .there is also a turquoise apple core
